It’s hard to believe that 2014 is already coming to a close. It was a noteworthy year filled with exciting developments: new research findings, regulatory changes, government lobbying initiatives and ground-breaking product innovation across the entire consumer health products space.
Exciting changes at Nutrasource in 2014 covered everything from acquisitions and new program launches to successful government agency audits. In August, we acquired the American-based regulatory firm GRAS Associates to provide a greater depth of service offerings for the U.S. food and dietary supplement market. The following month brought the launch of the IZYME Program, our newest testing and certification program for enzyme supplements. Also in the fall, our analytical and bioanalytical laboratory, Diteba, passed a FDA inspection further demonstrating our commitment to regulatory and quality standards for pharmaceutical testing. Finally, Nutrasource once again ranked among the fastest growing Canadian companies in the annual PROFIT 500 listing for the fifth time.
